Three more charged with the murder of Jordan Kukabu following Suffolk arrests
Three more people have been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Jordan Kukabu following arrests in Suffolk.
A 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy and Michael Tommy-Mgagba, 20, of Essex, who were arrested in Suffolk on Tuesday, have all been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon and were due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today.
A 15-year-old boy was charged on Wednesday with murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon and he appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Officers were alerted to the scene at about 11.47pm last Friday, May 5, to reports of men armed with machetes near Dagenham Heathway tube station.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene to find Wazabakana Elenda Jordan Kukabu, 18 – better known as Jordan – with stab injuries.
Despite their best efforts, he died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination on Sunday, May 7, gave a cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.
A second man, in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with a stab injury. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.
The investigation into the fatal stabbing has seen four people arrested in Suffolk.
A 27-year-old man, who was arrested on Tuesday in Suffolk on suspicion of assisting an offender and a separate offence of violent disorder, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 20-year-old man, who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released with no further action. However, he was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in relation to another incident and has been released on bail for this offence.
