National Cinema Day: Here's what's going on in Suffolk cinemas
Cinemas across Suffolk are selling discounted film tickets on a day that’s all about celebrating watching movies on Saturday.
On National Cinema Day, it will only cost you £3 to go and watch a film at various picture houses so you can catch up on all the latest blockbusters and family flicks.
Founded in 2001, the day will see the likes of Bury St Edmunds cinemas Cineworld and Abbeygate Cinema offer cheaper movie prices to everyone.
Films such as Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise, Three Thousand Years starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba and the DC League of Super-Pets are all available to watch as well as plenty more.
The initiative has been developed by the cross-industry body Cinema First and is supported by the Film Distributors’ Association and the UK Cinema Association. Similar celebrations were held in the 1990’s, but this year’s event gives a nod to the steady recovery of the film exhibition business following the pandemic.
The Regal Cinema in Stowmarket and The Light Cinema in Thetford are also selling £3 tickets.
Will you be going to watch a film this weekend?
