Delays on Greater Anglia services through Thurston after vehicle strikes bridge




Train services through Thurston, near Bury St Edmunds, have been disrupted after a vehicle struck a bridge.

Operator Greater Anglia said they were made aware of the vehicle hitting the bridge at 7.30am this morning.

Following an inspection by response teams from Network Rail, all train lines had reopened by 8.24am.

However train services through Thurston are still disrupted and passengers may need to use a replacement bus service.

On Twitter, the operator said: "Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption."
