Diversion in place during closure of Crown Street, in Bury St Edmunds

Rush hour drivers in Bury St Edmunds are being warned to plan their routes due to the closure of a key town centre road.

Motorists are being diverted while part of Crown Street, near Chequer Square and the junction with Churchgate Street, is closed.

UK Power Networks is on site carrying out utility repair and maintenance – replacing and installing electrical boxes.

The diversion route includes Westgate Street, Parkway and Northgate Street.

The works are scheduled to be finished by 6pm tomorrow.
