Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club to host Drive Thru Food Festival

It may be a while before traditional food festivals can be enjoyed again in Bury St Edmunds, but a drive-through alternative will be keeping appetites satisfied this weekend.

Pop Up Drive Thru Street Food Festival will combine great meals with social distancing.

The event at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, Southgate Street, will offer stalls selling macaroni cheese, Mexican, burgers, and burritos on Saturday, July 4, with the addition of Yorkshire pudding wraps on Sunday, July 5. Hundreds are expected from the midday openings.

Organiser Adam Coulton, who usually runs the Nearly Festival, has already put on drive-through events in Norwich and Beccles, and said Bury customers can enjoy an Independence Day treat.

"Bury is one of my favourite places and I can't wait," he added.
