Driver escapes with 'a couple of scratches' after tree falls on car




A driver escaped with minor injuries when a tree fell on his car near Bury St Edmunds this morning.

St Edmundsbury Police tweeted at 11.22am today (February 9) about the incident, which was outside Chevington towards Great Saxham.

The 'on the ball' driver saw the tree falling and ducked down in his car as it landed on the vehicle.

He escaped with 'a couple of scratches'.

The fire and ambulance service also attended.
