Queues on A14 at junction 47 A1088 Woolpit to junction 46 Thurston Road after load fell from lorry





Traffic was queuing on the A14 for around 30 minutes this morning after metal tubing fell from a lorry.

Police were called to the westbound carriageway close junction 47 A1088 Woolpit at 9.05am and closed one lane of the road.

According to AA Traffic maps, congestion built to junction 49 and the road was blocked for 30 minutes.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson confirmed the road was cleared at 9.35am.

They said another lorry reportedly hit some of the metal which had fallen from the trailer, but that this caused no further issues.
