Drivers to face possible delays as 100-tonne load travels through Suffolk, including A12 and A14





Drivers might face delays today as a 100-tonne abnormal load is transported through Suffolk.

The 19m long transformer left Sizewell A Power Station, near Leiston, at 10am.

Suffolk Police will escort the load as it makes its way to South Yorkshire.

The load is being transported from the power station towards the Cambridgeshire border.

It will travel along Lover’s Lane, the B1122, the A12 and the A14.

Officers will then hand it over to Cambridgeshire Police.
