Bury St Edmunds singer Souparnika Nair who featured in Britain's Got Talent releases Mother's Day video
Bury St Edmunds-based singer Souparnika Nair, who shot to national fame last year after making it to the final stages of Britain's Got Talent, has released a Mother's Day video thanking her own mum, and 'every motherly figure around the world'.
The 11-year-old got to the semi-finals of last years competition, featuring on the show's Christmas special, and she's been keeping busy ever since.
The snippet below is one of a number of videos and songs she's released this year.
Souparnika, the Sebert Wood Primary School student, said: "My mum means the world to me, as she’s always been there for me, every step of the way.
"When I felt like writing a song, I decided to dedicate it to my mum and every motherly figure around the world, and it was the perfect timing as Mother’s Day is right around the corner."
Alongside attending school, Souparnika spends a lot of her spare time making music and sharing it on her social media pages.
She said she loves the songwriting process and really enjoyed making the Mother's Day song.
"It was amazing to express the emotions through writing and put my own music to the words," she said.
"It was a great feeling when my Mum loved it.
"This is a small song, I really hope everyone shares this song with their Mums."
