Emergency closures in Flowton Road, Flowton and Lower Road, Lavenham, between Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds, due to severe flooding after Storm Henk




Emergency closures are in place in two Suffolk roads.

In a post on X, Suffolk Highways said Flowton Road, in Flowton and Lower Road, in Lavenham were shut due to severe flooding caused by Storm Henk.

A spokesperson said: “Please plan ahead before you travel and continue to leave additional time for your journey.”

Thousands of homes are without power due to the storm.

Multiple roads have flooded across the county.

The Environment Agency has warned that towns such as Ipswich, Stowmarket, Needham Market, Hadleigh and Halesworth could see run-off from rivers.
