Bury St Edmunds emergency road closure in Nowton Road due to flooding

An emergency road closure has been put in place on a key route into a Suffolk town due to flooding.
Suffolk Highways said Nowton Road, leading into Bury St Edmunds, was blocked off.
The county has experienced heavy rain and snow this morning, which has created hazardous conditions.
The authority urged motorists to seek an alternate route.
In addition, the A143 Compiegne Way was also closed this morning due to flooding.
