Emergency services called to crash in West Suffolk Hospital car park in Bury St Edmunds




Emergency services were called to a crash in a hospital car park this afternoon.

Police and the fire service were called by the ambulance service to West Suffolk Hospital’s car park at around 2pm after a single-vehicle collision.

The car park’s barrier was damaged in the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service said crews were dispatched to the scene due to fears two passengers were trapped in the vehicle, however, the individuals were out upon the arrival of firefighters.

The condition of the two people who were in the car is not known.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said paramedics were stood down as the patient was making their own way to hospital.
