Emergency services called to Station Road, Elmswell, near Bury St Edmunds, two vehicle crash




Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash by a village train station this morning.

Police, the fire service and the ambulance service were alerted to the collision between a lorry and a flat bed van in New Road, Elmswell, at around 9.40am.

The vehicles were blocking the road in the wake of the incident.

The spokesperson said it appeared no one involved had suffered any injuries.

The fire service attended the crash but, as the people involved were out of their vehicles upon the arrival of firefighters, its involvement was not needed.

An ambulance spokesperson said two patients were assessed at the scene but did not require transportation to hospital.

The vehicles had been moved and the road cleared by 10.25am.
