Emergency services called to Ram Meadow car park, Bury St Edmunds, where van was on fire




Emergency services were called to a van fire in a town car park this evening.

It happened in Ram Meadow car park, in Bury St Edmunds, at around 7.30pm.

Two fire crews were dispatched to the scene and on arrival they found the van ‘fully alight’, a spokesperson for the fire service said.

Firefighters used breathing equipment and one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

One person was handed to the care of the ambulance service as a result of the incident.

Police were also notified.

A stop on the incident was issued at 8.22pm
