Bury St Edmunds social club, Westbury, announces it has ceased trading after 40 plus years

A Bury St Edmunds social club has announced it has ceased trading with immediate effect.

Westbury Social Club, based in Oliver Road, made the announcement on its Facebook page on Monday.

The post thanked all the staff and the members who had supported the club over the last few years and apologised to any darts and pool teams affected.

The message said the club had been trading for more than 40 years and it was with 'much sadness' they informed people of the news.

Over the years the club has held various fundraisers for good causes.
