Storm Dennis to slam into Suffolk this weekend causing cancellations and closures with high winds and torrential rain inbound
Events are being cancelled in the region amid growing concerns over adverse weather conditions.
The Met Office has put yellow and amber warnings in place across the country this weekend as Storm Dennis travels north-east across the country.
The amber rain warnings are unlikely to affect Suffolk in the next 48 hours, but high winds are expected across the region throughout the weekend.
Bury St Edmunds park run on Saturday has been cancelled, along with Haughley Park's Spectacle of Light on the same day.
Those who have tickets for the Spectacle of Light on Saturday can use their tickets on any of the other dates which run until February 23.
The Orwell Bridge will also be closed on Saturday afternoon as Dennis follows hot on the heels of Storm Ciara.
Further cancellations are possible over the weekend and those who have plans should check to ensure events are still going ahead.
