Everything you need to know about this year’s Spring Fayre as it returns to Bury St Edmunds for the bank holiday weekend




From meeting giant dinosaurs to lounging by a pop-up beach, the much-anticipated spring fayre returns to Bury St Edmunds today and tomorrow.

Visitors will have a chance to browse through more than 70 stalls selling flowers, rustic crafts, food and more on Angel Hill and the Buttermarket from 10am today.

There will be a chance to relax by the urban beach in Charter Square, at the arc Shopping Centre, and watch performances of Punch and Judy.

The free two-day event will include plenty of fun for the little ones, such as painting, balloons and magic tricks.

Astronomy and virtual reality games are also set to be among the free activities, while the helter-skelter and carousel will make a welcome return.

In addition giant and baby dinosaurs, including a stegosaurus and a tyrannosaurus rex, will be roaming in the Charter Square.

Admission to the fayre, which is open until 4pm today and tomorrow, is free.
