LEARN MOREA retired schoolteacher of 36 years from Woolpit is to have his first book published on January 31.
Bob Pearson, 67, who worked for 20 years at Stowmarket High School, thought up the story of ‘ A Sting in the Tail’ to entertain his eight year-old grand daughter Iris at bedtime.
He said: “I have written pantomimes that have been published by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, but I was told there is a book in everyone and mine is a ‘what if’ idea. I am delighted others will now enjoy it, too.” The story is about a bee called Tallis, who wants to become a guardsman for the Queen Bee, but, born without a stinger he must find one and make his dream come true.
