Isaac and Bedford are first Halloween 2024 babies born at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust

Midwives had a ‘fa-boo-lous’ night shift when they welcomed the first babies born on Halloween 2024.

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, which runs West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket Community Hospital, announced on social media that baby Isaac was born first, arriving at 12.20am to proud parents Jodie and Kasie, weighing 5lb 10.5oz.

Just a few short hours after, baby girl Bedford arrived, weighing 8lb 7.5oz.

A spokesperson said: “All of the babies who are staying with us over Halloween will be offered the opportunity to make a keepsake footprint ghost to remember their very first Halloween.”

They thanked the trust’s My WiSH Charity for providing the supplies to create them.
