Bury St Edmunds cooker fire at Lake Avenue property sees fire and ambulance services attend
Firefighters were called to a cooker fire in the early hours at a property in Bury St Edmunds.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 12.53am on Saturday to the incident in Lake Avenue.
A spokeswoman said crews stayed at the scene to ensure it was safe and to secure the property.
A person was left in the care of the ambulance service.
Two crews from Bury and one from Ixworth attended.
The incident was dealt with by 1.37am.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
One woman was assessed for the effects of breathing in smoke and was not transported to hospital.
