Firefighters from Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket called to barn fire in Woolpit

Firefighters were sent to tackle a barn blaze in Woolpit earlier this afternoon.

Two engines were called from Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket just after 12.30pm to the fire in Windmill Avenue.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a single storey barn fire and small quantity of straw was involved.

The fire was put out and firefighters stood down at 1.18pm.
