Bury St Edmunds firefighters battle Great Barton blaze engulfing 35 tonnes of straw, logs, tree trunks and cylinder
Firefighters battled a blaze involving 35 tonnes of straw and logs, tree trunks and a cylinder.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 12.11pm to the incident near Thurston Road, in Great Barton .
A spokesman said the fire, on a large concrete pad, involved about 35 tonnes of straw and cut logs, eight large tree trunks and a cylinder.
Two fire engines from Bury St Edmunds attended.
A spokesman added: "Crews used two hose reels to tackle the fire and to cool the cylinder down and also chromes to make breaks in the straw."
They also used a thermal imaging camera to check the cylinder.
The fire was dealt with by 3.34pm.
The cause was accidental.
