Firefighters called to ankle deep flooding at Stanton property, near Bury St Edmunds





Firefighters were called to ankle deep flooding at a property in a village near Bury St Edmunds.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident in Old Bury Road, Stanton, at 7.02am today.

A spokesperson said the flooding was from a leaking pipe and resulted in ankle deep water which affected the electrics.

One engine from Bury attended and the crew isolated the water and electrical supply to the property to make it safe.

The incident was dealt with 8.15am.
