Bury St Edmunds firefighters called to fire at H&M in arc Shopping Centre

Firefighters were called to a fire at the arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds.
Two crews from Bury attended reports of a small fire in H&M at 9.21am.
A spokesperson said there was light smoke in the store.
They said the fire was in the mechanism of the shop’s escalator.
They were using a battery powered fan to clear the smoke.
The incident was dealt with by 10.11am but firefighters remained at the scene as a precaution.
An engineer attended to look at the escalator.
The shop was shut following the incident and is due to reopen tomorrow.
