Firefighters from Bury St Edmunds and Wickhambrook tackle Fornham St Martin fire

Fire crews responded to a one-acre straw fire in a Suffolk village.

They were called at 2.55pm to the B1106 in Fornham St Martin, between the Woolpack pub and the roundabout, outside of Bury St Edmunds.

Three crews, two from Bury and one from Wickhambrook, attended the blaze.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said the fire was dampening down quickly and being brought under control.

The incident was dealt with by 3.29pm.
