Firefighters called to stubble and crop fire in Ixworth near Bury St Edmunds




Firefighters were called to a stubble and crop fire in a village near Bury St Edmunds.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 3.03pm to the incident involving 300 square metres of stubble and uncut crop in Ixworth, near Pakenham Windmill.

Three engines from Bury, Ixworth and Thetford attended.

They used jets and beaters to deal with the fire.

It was dealt with by 3.41pm.
