Firefighters called to two suspected incidents of arson in Conifer Close, Mildenhall, involving trees
Firefighters were called to two separate incidents of tree fires in a Mildenhall road last night which were believed to have been started deliberately.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the first incident, in Conifer Close, at 6.58pm.
Three crews from Brandon, Mildenhall and Newmarket attended and used a hose reel as well as two beaters to extinguish a small area alight.
It was dealt with by 7.22pm.
The fire service was then told of another incident of trees on fire, in Conifer Close, at 7.40pm and crews had tackled the incident by 7.55pm.
A spokesman said both fires were believed to have been started deliberately and information has been passed to the police.
