Five fire engines have called to Brandon this afternoon, after a patch of field caught fire.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene in Green Road just after 1.30pm, where they dealt with a crop fire on a narrow stretch of field which was around half a mile long.
A spokesman from Suffolk Fire and Rescue said that the fire had been affecting forestry but was quickly surrounded and is now under control.
Firefighters will remain at the scene for an hour to monitor the situation.
