Firefighters called to Walsham Road in Ixworth to tackle three-acre field fire

Suffolk firefighters were alerted to a three-acre field fire near Bury St Edmunds this morning.

Crews from Bury St Edmunds and Ixworth were called to a stubble field fire in Walsham Road, Ixworth at 10.14am.

Firefighters spent around 30 minutes at the scene before the fire was extinguished.

Pictures from the scene show the field has been left scorched by the flames, with aerial footage also revealing the extent of the damage caused.
