Move over Joe Wicks: Bury St Edmunds headteacher reinvents himself as 'Sarah the aerobics' instructor for school's new online fitness classes




Teachers have launched a new series of online fitness classes.

Westley Middle School, in Bury St Edmunds, will be holding the classes every Wednesday morning live on YouTube.

The classes are designed to help keep their 470 pupils fit during lockdown with the help of the school's PE teachers.

But during the classes, which will include general exercises and a weekly challenge, there will also be a few surprises...and guest instructors.

One of these sure to be a hit with pupils and parents alike, will be ‘Sarah the aerobics instructor’.

For Sarah, is none other than headteacher, Ben Jeffery.

“We are hoping to give fitness guru Joe Wicks some real competition," said Mr Jeffery.

"Apart from our pupils, people can tune in, nationwide!"

The lessons will be streamed at 9.15am every Wednesday and can be found by searching ‘Westley PE-Team’ on YouTube.
