A14 crash causes major delays due to flooding between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket

Motorists are experiencing delays on the A14 following a crash caused by flooding.
Police were called to the eastbound carriageway this evening between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket after a single-vehicle crash.
A spokesperson said the crash is believed to have been caused by significant flooding near junction 40, at Barrow, which has covered the entire road.
Officers are still on the scene awaiting recovery and Suffolk Highways has been called to help resolve the flooding issues.
The AA Traffic Map is showing long delays in the area.
