Bury Town FC issues statement after young man suffers medical emergency during match in Bury St Edmunds against Wroxham FC




A football club has issued a statement after a young man in the crowd suffered a medical emergency during a match.

The medical incident happened in one of the stands 20 minutes into the fixture between Bury Town FC and Wroxham FC in Bury St Edmunds and resulted in players leaving the pitch.

Emergency services were called but a warning of a two hour wait was given so the young man, who is a season ticket holder, was collected by family members.

According to a statement on the Bury Town FC website, he is now feeling much better.

The club thanked both teams and supporters in the ground for their patience and also Bury Town FC physio Jim Crease for arriving quickly to the scene.

The physio from Wroxham FC was also thanked for their assistance.

The game was suspended for about 20 minutes before play resumed.
