Fresh plans for Elmswell Services totem signs, off A14 eastbound at junction 47a, submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council

Fresh plans for totem signs at an A14 service station have been submitted to a council.

Mr Kais Ali, for EG On The Move, has applied to Mid Suffolk District Council for the installation of a seven-metre and a 10-metre pieces at Elmswell Services, off the eastbound carriageway at junction 47.

Previous plans for similar signs at the station were rejected in November.

Documents submitted with the application show the 10-metre sign would be facing the A14.

The totem would display the different outlets available at the site as well as fuel prices.

It would be fenced in at the bottom by 1.8m-high close-boarded timber, which the documents said would prevent dazzling to the A14.

The other sign would be at the entrance to the site, off the A1088, and would display the different fuel prices.
