Bury St Edmunds concert Young at Heart to showcase young Suffolk musicians while also supporting charities

A fundraising concert at St Edmundsbury Cathedral will showcase the talent of young Suffolk musicians.

The Young at Heart Concert on Saturday, March 11, in Bury St Edmunds has been organised by Suffolk County Council chairman Cllr Robert Everitt and will support his two chosen charities: Bury St Edmunds Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association and Gatehouse's dementia services.

Cllr Everitt enlisted the help of musician Harry Greene, who is not only performing at the concert, but helped to pull together the line-up of talented young musicians.

Suffolk entertainer Charlie Haylock will be the MC for the evening.

Cllr Everitt said he had known Harry, whom he described as an 'amazing' saxophonist and guitarist, for many years after first hearing him play in Bury St Edmunds town centre when he was about 13.

Visit the What's On West Suffolk website for tickets for the concert, which starts at 7pm.
