Police appeal after teenager assaulted in Bury St Edmunds in Beetons Way by gang of youths




A teenager has been assaulted in a Suffolk town by a gang of youths.

Police say the male victim was punched and kicked by a group of five youths in Beetons Way, Bury St Edmunds.

The incident happened at 2.35pm on Tuesday, January 17 after one person pushed him against a wall and punched him in the face before kicking his legs.

The victim suffered several injuries and his laptop was damaged.

The suspect who carried out the assault is described as a white male wearing all black clothing, with a snood pulled up over his face.

Police ask anyone with information that could help the investigation, to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/4183/23 via the website.
