Bury St Edmunds Bury in Bloom judges are raring to go




Judges are all set to reward gardeners for their efforts as the annual Bury in Bloom event gets under way.

Following a briefing at the end of last month, the front garden judges are about to start their tours of duty around Bury St Edmunds, with judging due to be completed by, Tuesday, July 19.

There are 80 judges in total for the celebrated event this year.

“It was great for the judges to meet for a detailed briefing for this year’s Certificates of Merit Front Garden judging,” said Lynne Wright, certificate of merit co-ordinator

“As the RHS has included wildlife friendly elements, our scoring system has been changed to include options to reward greener gardens.

“The scoring system has been posted on the Bury in Bloom website and it is obvious residents are already responding to these opportunities.

“Judges are looking forward to seeing so many fantastic gardens over the next couple of weeks.”
