Ixworth girl, 3, scoops dream job as a toy-tester
A three-year-old has scooped a dream job as a 'toy-tester'
Athena Dixon from Ixworth was named PoundToy’s ‘official’ toy-tester this week.
The delighted youngster has now received a box full of toys to review - worth £250 - plus a £500 cash bonus - upfront.
Athena’s mum, Brooke, said: “Athena is very grateful to be chosen as a tester.”
Athena was appointed Head of Toy Reviews, at the online store, founded in 2016, after her mum, Brooke, applied on her daughter's behalf.
According the job description, applicants had to display a 'passion' for toys, 'be unafraid to share their opinions', and demonstrate a 'creative streak and unlimited imagination'.
Athena can now work from home, 'for as many hours as she wishes', per week.
She must however produce three reviews which will be posted on the company's social media channels within 14 days of her appointment.
The job was open to applicants, nationwide, aged between two and 10-years-old, with their parents permission.
As part of the application, Brooke had to describe Athena's current favourite toys.
"Athena’s number one favourite toy is the Lego because she gets to build things," said Brooke.
"Her second is the tower game because she loves stacking things and balancing, it’s also fun for all ages.
"Her third choice is her crack track because it lights up and goes on its own.”
Athena's PoundToy reviews will now be shared across the company's social media channels.
