Grace aiming for Little Miss Teen Britain title

A 12-year-old girl who won Little Miss Teen Suffolk is now preparing to compete in Little Miss Teen Great Britain.

Grace Van Baaren, from Great Hockham, will be competing in the beauty pageant on Saturday, October 20, in Blackpool.

The competition includes a beauty contest and interview which are weighted 50/50.

Girls aged 10-12 can apply.

Grace said: “I’m really, really excited, I’ve always wanted to do this.”

She has been modelling since she was 10-years-old.

Grace added: “I’ve always wanted to do pageants, I was really inspired by the girls so I decided to apply for one, I was not expecting to be accepted.”

To enter Miss Teen Suffolk, Grace had to put forward one photograph and once accepted then had to send three more of her best pictures.

As well as the beauty aspect of the competitio,n Grace is also involved in charity work.

She has decided to raise money for Together For Short Lives, a charity which strives to improve the lives of children with reduced life expectancy through palliative care and support for families

She has set herself the target of raising £200.

Grace attends Culford School where she is currently in Year 8. Her favourite subjects include history, maths and English.

She lives with her mum, Sian Jones, a television presenter, dad, Richard Van Baaren, her younger brother, Tom and sister, Lola.
