A group of people who police wanted to identify as potential witnesses to a serious assault at a town bar have come forward.

The incident was at Nightjars, in St Andrew’s Street South, Bury St Edmunds, at 9.56pm on Friday, August 30.

A male victim, aged in his 20s, was punched in the face and his jaw was broken.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Bury St Edmunds Police on 101, quoting 37/49768/24.
