Guitar teacher to share lessons on instructing online during coronavirus pandemic at free webinar

A Suffolk guitar teacher keen to teach other businesses how to keep going using webinars is hosting a free online session on Thursday.

Michael Hutton is successfully teaching lessons using remote webinar platforms, after learning of the online capabilities in the wake of 9/11, when he was a trainer for a large American bank and needed to find alternative methods of communication.

He said: "The isolation recommendations currently in place means many many teachers and instructors are unable to engage with their clients during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I already successfully carry out some lessons using webinar platforms as these clients are not from this area (one client lives in Germany). I now successfully apply the same to a number is my clients either in self-isolation or isolating out of necessity. It is proving very popular, which got me thinking that a lot of other teachers and instructors in the area could use this."

Michael is hosting a free webinar aimed at teachers and instructors to show them how to continue using online sessions, without compromising anyone's health and safety.

"I know some will already be aware of webinars and, if practical for them and their clients, are probably already using this medium but there is probably a good number of tutors out there not aware or who don’t know where to start and what the capabilities are," added Michael.
