Ixworth Library opening hours could change as a result of consultation

Ixworth Library customers are being asked to share their views on proposed opening hours which would see the library open for two extra hours each week.

The proposals would see the library closing on Sundays and not opening late on Wednesdays, with those hours moving to other days.

The library is generally quite quiet on Sundays and Wednesdays and Suffolk Libraries believes it could be of more use to customers to open earlier during the week with more consistent hours.

The library does not currently open earlier than 10.30am. By opening at 9am on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday it would enable parents to visit after dropping children at school as well, could be more convenient for many people and extend the opening times overall.

A survey is online at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ixworthhours or paper copies are available at the library. The consultation runs until Monday.
