Heavy rain could hit Suffolk tonight as yellow weather warning issued
Overnight rain could cause flash flooding tonight as a yellow weather warning has been issued for Suffolk and the rest of East Anglia.
The Met Office has issued the warning for midnight tonight to 6am tomorrow morning.
A spokesperson said: "Whilst many places will miss the worst, areas of heavy rain and showers will develop on Saturday night and persist into the first part of Sunday morning.
"20 to 40mm of rain could fall in one to three hours in a few places, leading to some flooding and disruption. Rain and showers will ease by mid morning."
The warning also said that flooding of a few homes and businesses hit by the heavy rain was 'likely' and that road journeys could also be affect by the spray and floods from the downpours.
