The rain, expected from midnight tonight until 6am tomorrow, could affect homes, businesses and the county's roads.

"20 to 40mm of rain could fall in one to three hours in a few places, leading to some flooding and disruption. Rain and showers will ease by mid morning."

The warning also said that flooding of a few homes and businesses hit by the heavy rain was 'likely' and that road journeys could also be affect by the spray and floods from the downpours.
