Heavy rain to hit Suffolk as Met Office issue yellow weather warning




A weather warning has been issued as heavy rain is expected to hit the county.

The Met Office has placed a yellow warning for most of the country, including Suffolk, with rain forecast from 5pm tomorrow until 10am on Friday.

The wet weather could result in some disruption to transport as there is the potential for some flooding.

The forecasters said that some locations could see up to 30mm of rain in two to three hours with totals potentially reaching 60mm over four to six hours.

There is also a chance of power cuts to homes and businesses while motorists are being warned of difficult driving conditions as well as potential road closures due to flooding.
