Suffolk residents could face heavy showers and thunderstorms as Met Office release yellow weather warning




Suffolk could face heavy showers and thunderstorms today as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning.

Residents have been warned to expect driving conditions to be affected by spray, standing water or hail which could cause delays to journey times.

The weather service has also warned of the possibility of flooding to homes and businesses, as well as damage to buildings due to lightning strikes.

The yellow warning, which starts at 11am and ends at 10pm, is in place across the east of England and parts of the south, covering the whole of Suffolk and Norfolk.
