Bury St Edmunds historian John Saunders to give fund-raising talk about the music and musicians associated with town
A Bury St Edmunds historian is to give a fund-raising talk next week, looking at the music and musicians associated with the town.
John Saunders will be giving the Music to your Ears talk at St Edmund’s Church Crypt, in Westgate Street, at 7.45pm on August 15 and at 2pm and 7pm on August 16.
He said the talk would give a ‘fascinating insight to all genres of music over the years’ relating to Bury.
The event is raising funds towards the education fees of a Bulawayo University student from an impoverished background who is studying for a social work degree to help support a Zimbabwe community where a Bury Catholic priest has worked for the past 35 years.
Tickets costs £7 and must be booked in advance by emailing jes767894@btinternet.com
