Center Parcs Aqua Sana set for improvements as plans win green light




Alterations and additions are set to be made to the Aqua Sana at Center Parcs Elveden, after plans were approved.

Center Parcs applied to West Suffolk Council for permission to make alterations and additions to the existing Aqua Sana facility.

The proposals to improve the quality of the existing Aqua Sana at the holiday village are part of a major refurbishment project to transform the forest spa experiences.

A design and access statement submitted to the council said: "The brief is to bring the outdoors very much in an relate the Aqua Sana to its beautiful woodland surroundings."

The improvement scheme includes 'significant' alterations, including to the building's external facade, a new pool plant room, 'Scandinavian snug' and internal remodelling to offer modern experiences.

Meanwhile, the existing Japanese Zen garden will be transformed into a tranquility zone including new timber decking and hot tubs.

Center Parcs Elveden was opened in 1989 and offers about 900 units of accommodation, covers 400 acres and has a guest capacity of 4,216.

There are 11 restaurants and bars, six shops and a nine-hole golf course.
