Bury St Edmunds based Frames Conservatories Direct celebrates 21st birthday
A home improvements company is celebrating its 21st birthday this month.
Frames Conservatories Direct was founded by Adrian Lewis in 2001.
At first, the small family-run company supplied windows for the trade industry from its base in Sudbury.
But as demand grew from private customers and home owners, the company moved its headquarters first to Chamberlain Road, Bury St Edmunds soon after.
Since then it has grown from just a handful of employees to 43 – and is now based on Barton Road, in the town, where it also has a showroom.
In the last five years the company has also opened showrooms in Diss, Norfolk and Ely, Cambridgeshire.
It sells and fits conservatories, windows, doors, roofline products, such as guttering, and garden rooms.
Mr Lewis said the company had stuck to the same principles through its 21 year history, which had enabled it to grow.
“We never use high pressure selling techniques and always go the extra mile with our customer service,” he said.
“We offer friendly, straightforward advice and never take a deposit for work.
Our work is carried out to the highest standard, guaranteed for 10 years and our prices are highly competitive. We also offer aftercare.
“We’re proud to say we have stuck these principles throughout our history and pleased to be celebrating our 21st birthday this month.”
Frames Conservatories Direct has also been heavily involved in the Bury St Edmunds community. It sponsored both the town’s rugby and football club, where Mr Lewis is vice- chairman, for more than 10 years.
On the behalf of the company, he has also raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities through sponsored cycles. These include Bury in Bloom and St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The company is rated five star on CheckaTrade, is Which? recommended and won customer satisfaction awards in 2015, 2016 and 2019, and installers of the year 2016 from a leading industry body, and as voted for by customers.
“A company is only as good as its staff and ours are brilliant,” said Mr Lewis.
“We’ll be holding a social event later this month to celebrate the birthday.”
