My WiSH charity reveals new look for mascot, Dr Ed, funded by Treatt, Sema Lease and Sealey Tools
A hospital charity’s mascot has been given a makeover thanks to funding from three businesses.
West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds welcomed a familiar face with a fresh new look as My WiSH Charity’s mascot, Dr Ed, made his rounds in a brand-new costume entirely funded by Treatt, Sema Lease and Sealey Tools.
To celebrate the new look, Dr Ed visited patients and staff across the Rainbow Ward, the fracture clinic and the paediatric emergency department – spreading joy along the way.
Joanne Landucci, head of fund-raising at My WiSH Charity, said: "We’re incredibly grateful to Treatt, Sema Lease and Sealey Tools for generously funding Dr Ed’s amazing new look.
"As a much-loved figure in our charity, it was fantastic to see how warmly Dr Ed was received during our walk around the hospital on Thursday - the smiles, waves and high fives said it all.
“We’re really excited to bring Dr Ed along to future events to help raise awareness and support for the vital work we do to enhance patient care across West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust."
