LEARN MOREA Bury St Edmunds hotel has submitted plans to add a further 24 rooms.
The Dragonfly Hotel, in Symonds Road, has lodged proposals with West Suffolk Council to add an extension to ground and first floor levels of the building.
The hotel currently has 71 rooms, which would be extended to 95 if plans are approved.
A planning statement, submitted on behalf of the hotel by Purcell Architects, said: "The addition of this extension would provide the hotel with extra accommodation to meet visitor demand."
As well as the room extension, the number of parking spaces would be increased 96 to 104, with five accessible parking spaces included.
The number of staff employed at the site would remain at its current level.
