Cartoonist John Elson's take on The Big Draw

Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson could almost have drawn a self-portrait for subject this week - The Big Draw.

Billed at the World's Biggest Drawing Festival, October is The Big Draw month.

Here John has his own take on the subject.

John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.

He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet.

He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
